2025 Legislative Priorities

Complaints about individual officers may be filed at the officer’s department and may be filed at the Criminal Justice Training Commission (CJTC). The process for each is separate, however, the CJTC will use the local agency’s investigation in its own review and investigation.

The Washington Coalition for Police Accountability (WCPA) is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $450,000 grant from the Inatai Foundation. This generous funding will be provided over three years and will directly support our mission to advocate for police accountability, justice, and safer communities for all Washingtonians.

We are deeply disappointed and frustrated by the decision not to charge the Seattle officer who fatally shot Iosia Faletogo in 2018. This decision marks yet another example of how our system continues to fail to hold law enforcement officers accountable for taking the lives of people in our community.
